This is a poster from my campaign for Director of the Hi Desert Water District. It depicts some of the various activities and events that I have attended in the Morongo Basin as either a Volunteer or Coordinator.

Serving as the Board of Director of the Yucca Valley Noon Rotary, Community Service, I worked with Division Chief Al Stocker of the San Bernardino County Fire Department in Yucca Valley and the Community Blood Bank to promote our June Blood Drive. Several donors braved the triple digit heat donating blood to save lives in honor of Fathers Day 2008. Thank you everyone for making this event a success!

Please support the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi Desert! I attended a recent fund raiser, A Day at the Races 2008, and was honored with the Best Hat Award! (PS. Don't tell anyone that I wore a lamp shade.)

Bob and I have been best friends for over 38 years! We were married in the Sturges Church, on Sturges Street, founded by his Great Grandfather in Port Huron, Michigan. My goodness..time flies by! Yes, the rumors are true, I pursued him and asked him to marry me. I explained to this confirmed bachelor that I believe in the commitment of marriage in the Church and he quickly answered my proposal, "Yes!....Now!?"

There was a Stop Green Path North meeting held at the Yucca Valley High School. I arrived early and offered to help in any way. I was assigned to collect and display the posters submitted by concerned citizens, young and old, for the poster design contest. My hat was decorated with a replica of the towers and buttons that said "Just Say NO!"... Visit their website for more information and updates: http://www.cadesertco.org

I really enjoy attending the meetings of the Joshua Tree Rotary Club, referred as "Yucca Valley East" by our Rotary Club. Their weekly meetings are held at Copper Mountain College at 6:35 am! As a visiting Rotarian from Yucca Valley, the entire club has embraced me as one of their regulars. I enjoy their friendship and the opportunity to network with all the hard working members of this club.
